Whew, what a week! And now it's ending with the threat of crazy weather. I'm trying to not think too much about it.....here are some of the things I'm loving at the moment:
1. Chobani Greek Yogurt - strawberry is the only flavor that I've tried and I've had it for breakfast several times this week. I need to try new flavors, but I'm weird about fruit in stuff.
2. Curel Lotion - my sister uses this and I use it when I'm at her house. I finally had to buy some for myself. I have honestly noticed a difference in my skin.
3. Purple pens - I have three different ones are work. Writing is so much better when it's purple. I may have to check into getting a purple highlighter. It's the little things.... :)
4. These shoes - I really want them. I think they would be perfect this summer with my white pants and a cool top. I'm sure that I have several things in my wardrobe that would be perfect with these shoes.
5. Beach trip - the first beach trip of 2012 this weekend. Yea!
Have a great weekend and be careful of the weather today!

Sing Along
Music is something that I seriously could not live without. I like all kinds and love to play it loud. Yes, I sing along and it sounds fabulous. If you are ever a passenger in my car on any sort of roadtrip, you will have the pleasure of listening to me sing. Probably watching me dance, too. I have some really good car dance moves!
I'm loving the "free" satellite radio in my "new" car ("free" because nothing is really free; "new" because it's actually a used car).
My presets are:
1. Hits - mostly top 40 type music
2. 90's on 9 - I'm a child of the 90's for sure!
3. 80's on 8 - heard some Stevie Wonder this morning
4. Pops - classical music
5. More - light hits
6. Hip Hop Nation - because I have to keep it a little gansta!
I don't know how long I have this satellite radio, but I'm going to enjoy every minute of it. I actually wish that I had a long driving trip so that I could listen to it for hours. I really don't spend a lot of time in my car - not that I wish my morning/evening commutes to work were longer.
What are your favorite satellite radio stations?

Disturbing Message
****warning - disturbing image below****
I've been getting a lot of mail and many emails that are somewhat traumatizing. They inform me that I'm going to miss out on something and lose money. I may even have to forgo my "valued customer" title. It's hard to decide what to do. I don't like to miss out on things. Wasting money is no good either. And, who doesn't want to be valued??? It's just all so troubling.
As if the letters and emails weren't enough, then this shows up in the mailbox.....it's like a dagger to the heart!
First of all, I think it should say "you are about to read your last issue." Just sayin. Second of all, did they really have to tell me that? I think I would have noticed when the magazine stopped showing up in the mailbox every Friday. I was able to make myself ignore the letter and emails, but this is like a neon sign that I cannot overlook. Kudos to these marketing folks because it has me seriously reconsidering the subscription renewal. I had decided it was an expense I could cut and time I could spend doing something more productive (though I struggle to understand what could be more productive that reading about celebrities and looking at red carpet pictures). I buy it for the articles.....
So, what do you think? Renew or not renew? I would be saving 727% off the newsstand price. Maybe someone should buy it for me. The Easter Bunny, perhaps. I will miss out on SO much between now and Easter!! I hope Brad and Jenn don't get back together while I'm out of the loop!!

Here's Hoping!
I'm still getting settled into the new place. It's beginning to get to me that I'm not completely organized and don't quite have everything put in it's place. I don't deal well with clutter and there is too much of it at the moment. I know that I will get it all done eventually, so I'm trying to not panic at this point.
I did hang this sweet little painting in the bathroom. Who knew they sold Hope at Lowe's?!?! My sister and I were there to pick up a few things and happened upon this little bird. I knew that I had to have it. For the low price of $11.99, I bought myself some Hope!

Love comes to those who still hope even though they've been disappointed, to those who still believe even though they've been betrayed, to those who still love even though they've been hurt.

Official what?
While taking my vitamins today, I remembered a funny story. A few months ago, I went to my doctor for a check up (regular doctor). I just like to get checked out and have blood work, etc. done once a year or so. I talked over a few things with my doctor and we talked about some of my tough times. At the end of the visit, he asked "can I say a prayer with you?" Absolutely! If you need a general practitioner in Birmingham, I definitely recommend my doctor. He really pays attention and is very thorough. I stopped by the lab on my way out to leave all of my bodily fluids.
A day or so later, I got a call on my cell phone from a number that I didn't know. I answered and the girl said very quickly "this is ----- at Dr. ------'s office. He wants you to start taking an official supplement." Who? Official what? I had to get her to repeat what she had just said and I still didn't get it. Official who? She finally slowed down and said "a fish oil supplement." Oh! Then, I had like 27 questions about where and what to buy. Are all fish oil supplements created equally? How much should I take? I think the nurse got annoyed and told me just to take a standard one and the amount the label says. I could tell she wasn't going to be helpful, so I just said OK. Then, I asked my friend Leanne about it. Of course, she had a lot of good information for me and I set out to the pharmacy to buy an "official supplement!" Reading all the labels was amusing. I went for the one that says "no fish burps." Seriously. I don't know what a fish burp is and I don't want to know.
I've now been hearing all kinds of good things about fish oil. My family has a history of heart disease/high blood pressure and fish oil is supposed to be great for heart health. I probably should have started taking this years ago. I'll go back the doctor in a few months to see if it's working. I think it is, but a blood test will give me "official" results. Ha! It makes me laugh even now!

Ode to the Tape Gun
I thought that I didn't need you.
I assumed you were not much better than the tape-roll-thing that I already had.
Your price was more than I really wanted to spend on a tape gun.
I've never had a product change my life the way that you have.
Your cushioned handle and green color have made packing more pleasurable.
It took me a while to figure out how you work. I kept looking for an instruction booklet and wondered if I would have to return you to the store.
I now have mastered using you.
When I use you, I feel like a professional packer.
You are the perfect taping tool and I'm glad that I found you.
Now, let's go tape some boxes!!

House of Pain
Pack it up
Pack it in
Let me begin
I came to win
Battle me that's a sin
- Jump Around by House of Pain
It's my packing theme song. Appropriate for a number of reasons.....I'm packing it up and in........it's just the beginning..........and my back is in pain. Sing along while I go take some Advil. It should be noted, however, that I have some mad packing skills. Seriously - if this whole CPA things doesn't work out!
This is the scenery around my house. I bought some boxes and got some from work. And, have some left from previous moves.
Yes, that is a roll of bubble wrap. How much fun is that!!
Dining room china and crystal - check!
No, I haven't been brave enough to start the kitchen. Maybe tomorrow.....
